Tenants energised by the healthy treats from CCT
Some were veterans and knew just what to do. Others were new to the exercise but eager for a treat. Whatever the experience, all welcomed the generous gesture from CapitaCommercial Trust (CCT). Over two weeks in July, CCT gave out nutritional bars to tenants of its properties namely: HSBC, One George Street, Capital Tower, Raffles City Tower, Wilkie Edge, Golden Shoe Car Park, Six Battery Road and newest addition to the CCT family, Twenty Anson.
This is the fourth of such tenant engagement activities and the second this year following the warmly received “Fruit Day” in March.
“We value our tenants and since the last healthy treat was such a success with everyone, we decided to go with another healthy snack. This helps to bring some cheer to the workplace,” said Dawn Lai, Head of Marketing & Leasing, CapitaLand Commercial Management Pte Ltd.
Miriam Munoz, Acting Brand Director, Tag Heuer at Raffles City Tower, only came to from Spain a week ago to work in Singapore and she was thrilled by novelty of it all.
“I have never encountered a landlord who would give out treats like this,” she admitted. “I am very careful about what I eat. I have been on an all-protein diet for two years and a healthy snack like this is just perfect for me.”
Akiko Hiyoshi, a General Administrator with Mizuho Corporate Bank at Capital Tower, agreed, “I come from Japan and landlords giving out such surprises is unheard of there. I try to eat healthily and avoid oily foods. So, this fits in well with my diet.”
Some also appreciated the thought that went into selecting the treats.
“It’s quite good that it is a different product every time. I like the variation,” said Katherine Tan, a secretary at Wong Partnership at One George Street.
Tenants who exercise regularly appreciated the snack that promised an energy boost for their work out
Those who received the energy bars also welcomed CTT’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle.
“It is a good way to show tenants their appreciation and a good reminder to live healthily,” said manager at Whittington Group Pte Ltd at One George Street, Serena Lim.
“I’m surprised by the gesture and it is a nice change from the mundane week. Now I have to start exercising,” said Audrey Lin, Client Service Associate with Northern Trust at One George Street.
Several who exercise regular felt the health bar was a handy snack to boost their energy levels.
“I have been running every day after work around this area since I started working here,” said Kelvin Zin, Acting Head, I3, Economic Development Board
Another avid runner is Steven Han, Account Manager, GfK Asia Pte Ltd at One George Street who covers five kilometres every day.
“I like the energy bar. It is such a good idea,” said Han.
Health bars give a healthy buzz, inspiring tenants to keep up with the London 2012 Olympics
All the talk about exercising and eating right also got tenants thinking about the London 2012 Olympics. Many who exercised regularly also hoped to catch the world class athletes in action.
“Amy Son, Accounts Officer, Philips Securities Research Pte Ltd at Raffles City Tower will be supporting Singapore in swimming and badminton.
Joshua Ngoh, General Administration, Mizuho Corporate Bank at Capital Tower has an extra reason to keep up with the Olympics.
“I will definitely be watching badminton because the Singapore representative, Derek Wong, was my classmate,” said Ngoh.
A thoughtful snack that not only rallies everyone together but serves as a reminder to eat healthily and exercise, this health bar is definitely a treat bar none.
